Frequently Asked Questions

What timer modes does RxTimer support?
RxTimer supports six modes: For Time, EMOM, AMRAP, Tabata, Custom intervals, and Judge Mode. Each mode is designed for a specific type of CrossFit or high-intensity workout.
Does RxTimer work offline?
Yes. All timer functionality works completely offline. An internet connection is only used for anonymous crash reporting and usage analytics via Firebase.
What is Judge Mode?
Judge Mode is designed for competition use. It lets you set a timecap and count an athlete's valid reps in real time. You can also review performance analytics after the workout ends.
How do I create a Custom interval workout?
Select "Custom" from the home screen, then build your interval sequence by adding work and rest blocks in any order. You can set different durations for each block.
Can I turn off the voice announcements?
Yes. Go to Settings within the app and toggle the voice announcements off. The timer will continue to work silently.
Does RxTimer support iPad?
Yes. RxTimer is optimized for both iPhone and iPad. The iPad layout is designed to work great as a large box timer that everyone in the gym can see.
Where is my workout history stored?
Your workout history is stored locally on your device. It is never uploaded to a server or shared with third parties.
What languages is RxTimer available in?
RxTimer is available in 11 languages: English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Greek, Polish, Russian, Bulgarian, and Turkish.

Privacy Policy

Introduction

RxTimer ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our iOS application.

What We Collect

We collect only anonymous, non-personal usage data to improve the app:

  • Screen views and navigation patterns
  • Timer types used and session durations
  • Crash reports (via Firebase Crashlytics)
  • Device OS version and model (anonymized)

What We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect your name, email address, location, health data, or any personally identifiable information (PII). Your workout data is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to our servers.

Third-Party Services

We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (provided by Google) for anonymous usage insights and crash reporting. These services may collect anonymized device identifiers in accordance with Google's privacy policy. Analytics data is retained for up to 60 days per Google Firebase defaults.

Data Storage

Your personal workout data (history, settings, saved workouts) is stored exclusively on your device using local storage. It is never uploaded, synced, or shared. Deleting the app removes all local data.

Children's Privacy

RxTimer is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
